Smile My answer

Doing it again.. having the same procedure re one on your new pouch.

Just my 2 cets about it though. I dont think its a solution, if you need a revision and you couldnt learn to use your tool right the first time... your never going to be thin... your battle is with food at that point, you need some strong head therapy! That is just my opinion, its a strong one I know.. but really how many times does someone need to make your stomach smaller...only once. The ones that even think its an option are the one's who think this surgery is supposed to be "magic." Its hard work all the way... for life!

Some people have revisions due to the villi growing back and becoming more adept at absorbing calories and nutrients from food. At this point there can be a large regain and they have to go in and bypass more intestine. EAT and DRINK your protein, guys! Also, they can be done if the stoma gets stretched or due to some other mechanical failure. Most of the ones done now are due to SLD (staple line disruption) when a non transected pouch reconnects with the old stomach due to eating too much, etc. It stretches, pops the staples, and then you can eat a whole lot more due to food going into the old stomach. With our procedure, we don't really get that problem. There are weird, rare cased of fistulas, etc...but pretty much unheard of.

So, as Bridget said...Learn to use your tool, the first time!

Yes, they can have O- blood with that combo. In fact, my hubby is 0+ and I am A-. I have one son who is A- and one who is O-. (of course you don't find out until after the baby is born and you already got the stupid Rhogam shot!)
