wow Laura,

Gotta admit I've never heard the song. But those are some great inspiring lyrics. Perfect.

Had to think about this for awhile...

Ready for the Times to Get Better - Crystal Gayle

I've got to tell you I've been rackin' my brain
Hopin' to find a way out
I've had enough of this continual rain
Changes are comin', no doubt

(Chorus
It's been a too long time
With no peace of mind
And I'm ready for the times
To get better

You seem to want from me what I cannot give
I feel so lonesome at times
I have a dream that I wish I could live
It's burnin' holes in my mind

(Repeat chorus)

I gotta agree with

1. Rodney Atkins "if you're going through hell" i had that on my cd player AT the hospital and id fall asleep at night to that..

2. Bon Jovi- "it's my life" because from jersey and hes god damn HOT

anddd

3. Ace of Base "Beautiful Life"

here are the lyrics

You can do what you want just seize the day
What youre doing tomorrows gonna
Come your way
Dont you ever consider giving up,
You will find, oooh

Its a beautiful life, oooh
Its a beautiful life, oooh
Its a beautiful life, oooh
I just wanna be here beside you
And stay until the break of dawn

Take a walk in the park when you feel down
Theres so many things there
Thats gonna lift you up
See the nature in bloom a laughing child
Such a dream, oooh

Its a beautiful life, oooh...
I just wanna be here beside you
I just wanna be here beside you
And stay until the break of dawn

Youre looking for somewhere to belong
Youre standing all alone
For someone to guide you on your way
Now and forever

Its a beautiful life, oooh...
Its a beautiful life, oooh
Its a beautiful life, oooh
I just wanna be anybody

Were living in different ways

Its a beautiful life
Im gonna take you to a place Ive never been
Before o yeah

Its a beautiful life
Im gonna take you in my arms and fly away
With you tonight

Its a beautiful life, oooh...

Default Thank you

Thank you guys for all the songs....
I have just signed up to do the 60 mile walk in 3 days for breast cancer awareness in Boston this summer. I have been putting songs on my i-pod to use while Im trainning for this walk, and to listen to and inspire me when Im actually doing the walk!!! My surgery, training for the walk and the walk are all just falling into place.... My DH cant wait to meet me at the finnish line. Its a perfect ending to such a long journey!!! I have got to start building up to this walk. I walk 4-5 mornings a week (rain, snow) about 2 miles. The most I have walk at once is just over 5 miles, and the most I have walked in one week was 20 miles. We got laughing last night, he said at that rate, he would pick me up in September !! Just waiting for my surgery date......

That is beyond cool that you are doing the walk. I thought of signing up for next year when I lost more weight.

A good friend of mine just told me her aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. I told her I would look into doing a partial walk. She said she would go with me but I'm not sure either of us can do sixty miles at this point.

And the MOST inspiring song for this walk is the one that was written for it. Melissa Etheridge wrote it. I wish I had the lyrics to post. It's so inspiring I could listen to it for the whole sixty miles

There's also a music thread in the exercise forum. There is some really good music listed there as well.

Thank you for doing the walk. You are an inspiration.

Edit. I just logged on to 3day.org. The walk is coming to Arizona in November. I am soooo in. Registering now. See how inspiring you are? I'm gonna pick up some new music tomorow. I'll post the lyrics here.

I have my get started meeting this coming saturday.

You Are Free - Joseph Arthur
Time is moving on
You and me
You and me
Suffering is gone
You are free
You are free

I know I let you down
Those days are over now

I'm no longer who I was
No longer who I thought I was
I'm no longer who I was
No longer who I thought I was
I'm no longer who I was
No longer who I thought I was
I'm no longer who I was
No longer who I thought I was

Time is moving on
You and me
You and me
Suffering is gone
You are free
You are free

I know I let you down
Those days are over now

I'm not afraid of nothing
I'm not afraid of anyone
I'm not afraid of losing myself
There ain't no self to lose
I'm not afraid of losing myself
There ain't no self to lose
I'm not afraid of losing myself
There ain't no self to lose
I'm not afraid

Time is moving on
You and me
You and me
Suffering is done
Let it be
Let it be

When you feel you're strong
You are free
You are free

Creed, Arms wide open. Cause as those close to me know our desire to conceive triggered my WLS journey. Yay for babies!!

Cant post the lyrics tho...web filtering! Bah!

Stayin Alive!!

Life goin' nowhere.
Somebody help me.
Somebody help me, yeah.
Life goin' nowhere.
Somebody help me, yeah.
Stayin' alive
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm.
I've been kicked around since I was born.
And now it's all right, it's O.K.
And you may look the other way.
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man.
Whether you're a brother
Or whether you're a mother,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Feel the city breakin'
And ev'rybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha,
Stayin' alive.
Stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha,
Stayin' alive.

Mine Is RESPECT. Because ever since I had my surgery I have found that I have more respect for myself, others but most importantly others have respect for me. Proably because I am no longer fat and do stuff with out my belly getting in the way.
