Fun tonight - ThinnerTimes

Lately I have been in a funk...depressed and just down. Went ice skating a few weeks in a row and had a blast..of course I have been doing that at my own risk since I have been advised to be very careful....I wear 2 abdominal binders. Well, tonight I went and hung out with some dear friends of mine...also gastric patients of Dr Callery. We had a blast, but the alcohol hit one of my friends, so she had to go home. It left hubby and I alone to party. We had so much fun and I let loose and went bowling. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it, but I used the lightest ball(one for kids) and didn't care how I did it. So much fun and I feel human again....I am really getting my groove back and on my road to recovery with this hernia stuff. I think the weight gain has helped, too.

Just another milestone for me...thought I would share the joy I am getting back doing extra curricular things. I am on my way to enjoying the fun things again.

Don't you just wish it can be like that all the time?? I am so glad you had a fun night and that hubby could enjoy it with you. Here is a new movie, "How Dale got her groove back"

Dale sounds like you had enough fun for all of us. Glad you had a great time. One day we will have to party together. Have you heard from Sandy? She has been on my mind.

Yes, I heard from my podmate Sandi...she has been very busy working, but doing well. I will see her soon and tell her you have been on her mind. I am sure she would want me to send you her love...so here it is a big hug and kiss for you Denise.

I had another fun day with another one of my friends here from the forum...we had fun running around Target. Can you believe it? We tried shoes and the funnest part about it was being able to slip into some really cute strappy sandles with heels and to be able to wear them....of course my friend has awesome looking legs to die for...so of course she was able to flaunt them around.

For anyone ever wondering if this surgery is worth it....for me it is a huge yes...I am so thankful for the joys each day that I encounter. Today was just another one of those days where shopping became a joy instead of a pain to try and find something that fits.
