Update On My Pregnancy
For everyone who has been following me through this amazing pregnancy journey just wanted to update you on the latest news........
This past Saturday I was having some really bad back pain that I couldn't rid but wasn't sure what it was, at first I thought maybe my kidneys like usual...But I woke up around 4am on Sunday with really bad stomach and back pain went into the bathroom to pee and had lost my mucus plug and had some bleeding so I realized geeshhh I might be in labor. So I finally drove myself to the hospital where YEP I was in the early stages of labor my contractions were not consistent they would be 4 mins apart for about 20 mins then 12 mins apart so luckily they were able to give me a shot to hopefully stop my contractions, they kept me in the hospital till late Sunday night where my contractions were mild and pretty far apart and sent me back home on bed rest. I am still having some mild contractions but not bad and they are not consistent so it looks like the injection worked and now I am on bed rest for the next 4-6 weeks. grrrrrrrrr I am so hyper.
Otherwise everything is going very well, I have gained right around 25lbs and my doctors are very happy about my weight gain. I feel really good except for the terrible back pain....So if you don't see me around often it is because I am in my bed....but I will check in and try to keep everyone updated the best I can....
So excited for my little miracle boy to be here soon...........
Thanks for all your support!

Take it easy. I know being on bed rest sucks but think of the reward you will get after your done! I bet after you have the baby you will want to be back on bed rest! Can't wait to see pics of the new little guy. Of course we can all wait till he is fully cooked.

Hey, does the heir to the family fortune have a name yet? (And for goodness sake, follow doctor's orders!)

Thanks everyone...I am up and about for a minute getting myself some yogurt so thought I would check in quickly. This bed rest is killing me, I am not much of a TV person...of course can't sleep...grrrrrrr I am going stir crazy but I am trying my best to stay put as I know I need to for myself and baby.
As for names for my lil man......Well most of you know I am married to an African American WONDERFUL man and this name game is driving us crazy as I want an american name and he wants an African name. He of course thinks because it is a boy he has final say so...hehehe I get to fill out the papers of course...Right now these are the names HE has come up with and I am on the EDGE with, they are better then some of the names he has picked...So lets vote....
1. Kijani ( Kee - jah- nee)
2. Kamau (kah-mah-ow)
3. Diallo (Dee-ah-lo)
4. Asani (Ah-sah-nee)
5. Asad (Ah-Sahd)
6. Hasani (Hah-Sah-nee)
7.Bomani (Boh-Mah-Nee)
Now I am not going to state my opinion till I see what everyone says......This should be very intersting! Now remember my husband is African American an follows the Muslim religion!
Can't wait to see the results...heheheheh

You are getting so close to the end and the reward at the end of road is so wonderful!!!!! Rest and let that little guy keep growing. Enjoy a little pampering too.
My vote is Kijani, number 1.

What are the names you like? I'm sure all those names have strong lovely meanings (seriously!), but as musical as they sound to me, I worry that as he grows and our world opinion starts to really tank, people might discriminate against him, stupidly thinking that your son might be a terrorist or something because of his name. Is there a way that one of each of your name choices can be combined to honor his heritage and stay off ignorant radar screens?
