OMG!! 6wks 40lbs 4dress sizes!
I had to tell everyone that as of this morning I am approximately 6 weeks out (maybe a little more Dec 6) and I have lost 40lbs! The most exciting thing is I decided to go through my closet this morning and see if I could wear any of my old clothes. I pulled out a pair of pants that had been in there for several years, there was dust on the top of the pants where it lays over the hangar LOL. I dusted them off and...............they fit! I wore a pair of size 24's to my sons house last night that were falling off of me, this pair I have on right now are 20! I am so jazzed.

Carol,
Congratulations on your successful weight loss! It blows me away every time a try on the next size down. I was so used to going the other way and being depressed as hell. This is SO much better!

Same Background??
Hi Carol, How excitng for you!! Can't wait to be down 40 #'s, too!!!
By the way, I noticed you are an interior designer. That is my background too. I have been out of the biz for a while, I am now a merchandise manager for a large retail furniture manuf. I really love it, kind of miss the clients though. I wonder if we ever met. I used to attend asid meetings in Laguna.
I see you live in Irvine, does that mean you had a differant doctor, other than Dr. Callery? If so, how was the group you are with?
Hope to see your pic soon.

Hi Rain,
LOL, I forget we are on the internet.........everything about you is there! If you google anyone these days you can find out just about anything. Yup, been a designer since 1975. Been an OC ASID designer since 1987. Your pix looks very familiar. We may know each other. Were you ever involved in the design houses? I stepped out of my designer life and adopted 3 sibling girls 6 years ago. The past 6 years of my life have been very very different than when I was a full time designer. I work part time now, and still do work with clients. I still do have my own business and have a part time office person.
Yes I used the UCI Bariatric Clinic here in Orange County. There are a few good ones here, I checked out a few before I made my decision. I liked having the surgery done at the UCI hospital facility, that was comforting to me. It is an excellant hospital. And my surgery went off without a hitch.
Thanks for your response. How are you doing? I know our surgeries were just about the same time. How are you coming along?

fellow designer
Hi Carol,
How wonderful for you to adopt 3 girls!! I have all I can do with one girl. She is 16 and going throught the whole teenager thing and all. Of course she is worth it though. Like they say, "anything worth having is worth working hard for." I bet your quite busy with your 3. What are their ages?
Anyway, I have been involved with some design houses in the San Diego area. How about you?
Sounds like your surgery went well, as did mine. I battled with my weight since I was 4 years old. I trully believe this was my answer. I am happy to be shrinking!!
I am having a support group meeting at my home 1-25 @ 6:30. Hosted by Christina and Stuart. I am in O'side and not as far from Irvine as Poway. You are more than welcome to join us. Let me know if your interested.
Rain
