Deb, I started at 355 lbs. I seem to be on a plateau once again. I haven't lost anything for the past month but I was losing up until then. I am now almost 14 months out. I know my weight loss has really slowed down but I'm hoping that with using my tool the way that I'm suppose to I will keep losing, even though it may be slow.

Thanks Beth. The past few weeks have been a struggle for me and it was nice to read this. Just a reminder in black and white of what I need to do to make myself keep on track.

I feel like as you get closer to goal, you can eat more and you lose less and at goal the two curves intersect. From that point on you can maintain the quantitiy and quality of food intake and maintain weight, or shift up or down.

Here is my monthly weight loss from 9 months on
9th: 11.75
10th: 8.875
11th: 9.875
12th: 3.5
13th: 6.25
14th: 2

I am eating more than ever, but making good choices. I find I am taking a few more BLT's (bite, licks, tastes,) of others food, but holding it together. I think the key to continued weight loss is working out. As we get smaller, we requirer fewer calories. Working out even burns fewer calories. I have said this before. If you are honest with yourself, the party isn't over until you say it is....it just becomes more work like as if you were dieting pre gastric bypass.

You will continue to lose, until your body is set. I believe we all have a normal set point for weight, and size but when you are obese it's hard to know what that is normally. So with that said, you will continue until your body is happy at a certain weight, and then you stop. (well typically how it's to work) Janie
