Default flushing

It's called flushing...I take niaciin (sp) because I have very low good chlestrol (geez sorry I can't spell) my number is 29 and I think they want above 50 or 60 for my age. When my cardio recommended he said for me to take it at night with a snack and so far I haven't flushed...I hope this helps.

Best wishes

Why did you start taking it orally too? I just increased my B-12 shots to 2 times per month vs. once a month. I have never taken it orally, but lots of people here do without problem.

Ok, you guys get your shots once a month or more?? Maybe that is part of my problem, I had surgery June 22, 2006 and I have had 3 B12 shots, that's it, one at my 6 week check up, one at my 3 month and 1 at my 6 month checkup? Is that not enough? someone help

I went to see the doctor and it was the niacin that is in the liquid B12...it is flushing and he told me not to take it anymore...he said that some people who have had RnY can not handle niacin going through the intestine,,well I am one of those people...he told me after today I will be fine. I didn't go back to work just came home and took a nap and am feeling better...He said my heart is fine :-) wasn't a heart attack like I first thought! Also, while I was there, I was happy to find out he got my lab work back and everything was great...My cholesterol is now 157...I was so happy...I haven't had good lab readings in a long time. I'm so thankful for this surgery and how it has changed my life for the better...Thanks for listening to me today :-)

Niacin is a water soluable vitamin,,,also known as nicotinic acid....I didn't know the liquid B12 had anything but B vitamins,,,I was wrong
If you haven't taken Niacin,,,I recommend that you don't
What I went through today was way worse than a bad episode of dumping! very scary and very uncomfortable.
