I had a crazy cpap and could never get use to it! I found an appliance that is like a retainer that you sleep in and it keeps your jaw forward at night my insurance paid for mine just as they would have for my cpap. An orthodontist made mine for me and they filed with my regular heath insurance not my dental. It worked great! I have problems with my ears and the cpap made my ears feel like they were going to explode I had my machine turned down and they said if they turn it down any more there would be no need to use it. I now have lost ALOT of weight and I did another study and I don't even need my appliance any more!! Good Luck I just thought you may want to know there are other options you don't have to use a cpap.

My hubbie got the full mask so that if he opens his mouth he'll be okay. He took less than a week to get used to it and he is a TOTAL princess about stuff like that. Heaven forbid there be a wrinkle in the sheets under him - he can't sleep with that - so if he got used to the CPAP, anyone can. And I was suprised at how quiet it was. Nice actually - sort of sounds like the ocean.
