Default New to the board.

Hello everyone I am new to the board. The place looks nice. I had my gastric bypass on May 5, 2004. I was 412 lbs. Now on Jan 6, 2005 I am at 247 lbs. I have followed a high protein diet. I now only eat low glycemic carbs and I eat about 1800 cals a day. I work out with weights four days a week and do carido 4 days a week two of witch are on off days. I am still loseing and am hoping to be 200 lbs on my 1 year date.

Default Howdy Neighbor!

Welcome to the board. This is a wonderful place. I also had my surgery in May of last year. So far, I've lost about 125 lbs. I noticed you're in N. Carolina. I'm not sure exactly where that is, but I'm in Roanoke, VA. I found this forum right after my surgery and these wonderful ladies and gentlemen have been an inspiration to me. Stick around and you'll learn so much from them. My husband had the surgery 9 weeks ago and has dropped 62 lbs. He was almost 350 lbs when he had it done. He has never been sick and can basically eat anything he wants in small quanitities (except sugar, of course). Men are so lucky....*sigh*

Default Speaking of men...

My hubby also had bypass 3 years ago. Was at 454, now stays between 230 and 250. With that kind of weight loss, he's allllllll skin. He had a consult and basicly would need a whole body lifet done in 4 surgeries costing about $26K. So start saving!
