BAG BALM! I use it for everything too... since I'm pre-op and have a giant belly, I get yeasty rashes on occassion in the skin folds... A little Bag Balm clears it up overnight like magic! Walgreens has it - by the Corn Huskers and hand lotions... or am I giving away my midwest, milk cow location? It come in a square green tin - and is a stinky amber colored ointment... Yes, originally used for cows udders... but man has reclaimed it for human use too!

Your Friend, TOONY
Hey Toony, thanks for your concern about my butt troubles. I ended up going to a "hemorrhoid center". When I first saw it in the paper I was like, "there's no way they have an office/center dedicated to just hemorrhoids!". But I called it, made an appointment and was seen by the doctor there. She said that yes, I had a couple of "irritated, protruding" hemorrhoids and that I had a cut inside my...well you know, it rhymes with a planet. lol. She said that because I had the cut she could not do the treatment(this was a couple of months ago but I remember the treatment consisted of this long metal thing with a laser at the tip and they warm that up and put it to the hemorrhoids and they supposedly dry up and fall off or something like that...this scared me off, I did not go back for the treatment lol) so she prescribed me this cream that numbs the area and just told me to go back in two weeks(the time that the cut was supposed to take to heal) but since it stopped hurting on its own, I didn't go. I still have the hemorrhoids, I can feel them...you know, when I wipe...I don't randomly stick my fingers up my butt for no reason. Things were starting to look up(health-wise) for me for a little while afterwards but then everything started going downhill again and for the past couple of months I've been experiencing a lot of stomach issues and just over all malaise. Since I'm going to the bathroom 5x-plus-a-day, they are starting to act up again, I'm just using the numbing cream right now but if they start to hurt again like before to the point that I can't function I will go back to the "hemorrhoid center" to get the treatment...hopefully it won't get to that point.

Well the thread left me "hanging..."

Take care and follow medical recommendations... you can do some permanent damage and be in a world of trouble if things get out of hand...

supportive HuGS....

Hey Duckie... If it's good enuff for cow's udders .... good enuff for me!

It's actually made in Vermont!!! http://www.bagbalm.com/
Charles Kuralt paid us a visit, and wrote about us in his final book. We’ve been talked about on Oprah Winfrey, recommended by dozens of health columnists, and seen our name in the New York Times—plus hundreds of other publications. All because—quite simply—Bag Balm® works.

Two words: sitz bath!
They have ones you can put on the toilet and boy do they help. You can add things like essential oil of lavender and others, which I did post childbirth, but the soothing soak was a godsend. They're a little hard to find, but call around and YOU WON'T BE SORRY
