Drum roll please....... get this...... I DON'T qualify for the panniculectomy. My pannis is not very big and the plastic surgeon said I would have more benefit from a full tummy tuck. It only hangs about an inch and she said they would only do the panniculectomy if it hung below the pubic area. Mine doesn't even touch mine. (sorry, TMI) SO now I am back to the drawing board, and researching plastic surgeons. What is the average cost of a tummy tuck?

Was Kaiser going to cover the plastic surgery or was it out of pocket? I have Kaiser so I am just wondering. Thanks

Goal to be "normal" 155

Do I really want to be normal?? Having some body issues. Don't want to be too thin.

Kaiser will cover the panniculectomy, but only if the Pannus hangs over the pubic area. Otherwise it is not medically necessary and not worth the surgery to cut only an inch of skin off. They do not cover "tummy tuck".
