Please add me Heavy cardio 4-5 time this week (AF is coming, so it depends on the pain she brings with her), trainer once this week, abs every day, and alternate upper/lower bod each time.

I have been staring at that thing for 2 weeks now and have not gotten on it yet, but I commit to do it this week! Thanks Gina for lighting a fire under all of our butts! I'm so happy you are here to challenge us. Come people......if "I" can do this, you can too!

Default Add me, dang it...

OK, I've been doodling, I admit it, alternating upper/lower, even though I'm only exercising 3 times a week. More than that and my knees start breaking down... but here's my ambition for this week.
  • 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical (up from 15) to begin
  • full Nautilus line (26 weight machines), upper and lower body and core, added five pounds to every weight today, want to be on 20 reps by next weekend (up from 15)
  • stretch the entire body
  • super-plie's in all seven positions (not the five I've been doing)
  • 5 sets of 10 crunches (up from 3), 3 sets with legs up on the ball, 2 sets with ball suspended in mid-air between my ankles
  • 3 sets of 10 back strength moves (sort of like a backwards crunch), up from 2 sets today
  • add push-ups to the list
  • 20 more minutes of cardio on the treadclimber or treadmill (up from 15) to finish

I'll report in next weekend how successful I was - I'll be exercising as shown above on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sundays, plus playing racquetball against my husband on Saturdays.

Lisa Darling - I can't put all that in there - so tell me if you like my "paraphrasing".

Love is not neccessary when improving health. I think mamograms, colonoscopies and even dental cleaning long ago proved that. Just do it. And feel our collective love every step, kick and splash of the way!

Default Please add me to the Challenge list

Gina, thank you for this great idea! I am 485 lbs. pre-pre-op and have just started training myself for surgery and post-surgery, so I will need to start small:

Walk 3x (10 minutes, then 11 minutes, then 12 minutes)
LifeCycle at Gold's Gym 3x (10 minutes, then 11 minutes, then 12 minutes)

I look forward to hearing how everyone did...

As I'm in pain, I will only commit to the treadmill 3Xs this week, for 5-10 minutes. (The doc said 5 but I'll try more).
