Default I have to be honest!

Hi Everyone,
It has been a few weeks since I have been on here. I hope you all had a splendid holiday, and by the way, for those who I didn't get to on the card list, I am so so sorry. You have all bee in my thoughts through the season!
Ok, so here is my confession. I enjoyed the holidays a little too much. I have to be honest about it with you all to keep myself honest and own up to what I did! I ate things and drank things I just shouldn't have. I don't experience dumping when eating that bad things in the afternoon evening, only if I start out with somethign not so right (milk especially) have I dumped. I ate cookies and I ate candy, and too much bread, crackers.... No binge eating, just ate to fullness but ate the wrong foods at times. I had lost4 pounds, gained 2, lost it again and then gained it and now just lost one of the pounds again. I'm not considering myself a failure, just had a little too much fun and owning up to it now and getting back on track. It helps to be honest. Did anyone else go through this?
Well it is nice to be back here with you all. Have a great day!

I wouldn't be worried about it. it seems like you keeep real good track of yourself and thats all thats really needed. Its when you don't govern yourself that you run into problems.

btw I'll be in honolulu in October. woot woot.

Me too. I gained 4 pounds over the holidays. I ate what I wasn't supposed to and funny thing was I let myself because I was "celebrating" .
Good news, I'm back down again and on track. Yay!

We are NEVER going to be perfect, we are going to have slip ups and slip downs lol But you called yourself on it, and stopped it before it became a "habbit" again. Stay on track, work hard, hydrate and make good choices. You'll be fine.

I have to be honest, I too ate some of the wrong things during Holiday time, some pumpkin pie (no crust) a bite size butterfinger, and a small piece of my Birthday cake on Jan 2, all in all I felt I made it okay through the Holidays but felt so ashamed that I ate what I did. I am back on track and still losing (thank goodness) . I have never had dumping ( so very lucky) but dont want to test the waters on that. I try to eat as healthy as I can. I eat mostly chicken, as I cant have beef for the first year and pork is to dry for me. I am very happy to have salads and fresh raw vegies now (had to wait 3 months after WLS) My new boyfriend who is Greek has been so supportive, he cooks me the best chicken and makes great Greek salads. He will drive all the way from Oceanside ( I live in Escondido) just to bring me a healthy dinner. What a guy. Thats been another thing about changing my life, I have begun to date again I forgot how much fun it is.

It takes a lot to admit when we have done wrong. I will admit I have as well been bad over the holidays. Melaine we are human and we will fall into bad habits. Not saying that it is right but you have taken the first step to admitting that you have messed up and the next step is to get back on track. It is never to late to get back on track. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and an even better New Year. Don't be a stranger.
