Default WATCH LAP GBS LIVE on the Net...Wed. Jan 19th.

For those of you that are PRE-OP or considering Gastric Bypass Surgery this POST is for you.

My surgeon, Dr. Matthew Christophersen, will be doing a LIVE FEED RNY-Gastric Bypass surgery from our surgery center in Davenport, Iowa. This is not a unique opportunity, but it is an opportunity to see what the surgery entails and the details of the proceedure that you wouldn't see as a patient.

We are very excited for our Center, My Dr., and the support team who will be assisting with the surgery. I was also able to meet the individual was will be operated on. If you are interested in watching this....here is a link to the web page where you can connect to the live web feed.

If you want any additional information, please feel free to PM ME!!

The surgery will air Jan. 17th, beginning at 7pm CST.

How exciting! I watched one right before I had mine...it is good to see what your body is going thru, so you can understand a lil better.

I have watched one open, one lap, a lap band, and a "mini-gastric bypass" (and they took off a lapband during that one... )... (you tube has some, and other sites do too)..

I agree that its important to see just what they are doing to your body. I will try to catch this one Zenomia.. thanks for the info!!

yes, Thank you. I have been hooked on the Discovery Health Channel ever since my surgery. I should have watched it before but didn't. I did catch the Super Hero Makeover on Saturday. He has amazing results. I hope I am worthy of such great results for the long term.

Well SHOOT... it's 8:00 cts and it looks like I just missed it 'cause it's not coming up! Oh well.... I understand how it works, but I'm afraid that looking at the actual surgery would make me nervous about it being ME getting cut on anyway.

Default Thank you, Zen!

I just watched the surgery- very informative! My fiance watched some too- I think it took some of the scariness out of it for him.

You can view it from the beginning if you wish. They have it on video....I am watching it now....You do need the mediaplayer. They include the definition of some terms you have seen here, such as anatimosis..etc...Really very informative!
