What I meant when I said this was that basically it was ironic that those who haven't been around in months to respond to anyone's questions, pleas for help, celebrations, etc....could post this topic and tell others that have been around day in and day out that they basically weren't doing a good job. I did not mean to start a big bru ha ha...its just MY opinion and we all have a right to one...right!

Are you talking about me? By posing the statement of "those"?

If so, I didnt get over 6000 posts by not being here for months and months. I have been here, frustrated AND POSTING to your threads and many others.
Keep in mind, although one may not post, does not mean they arent here reading.

If you wernt referring to me, then... okay.

To be perfectly honest, I was talking about you and Robin. You were both missing in action for awhile....and obviously that is your business. Just because you have over 6000 posts does not mean that they are all 100% serious business...there are a lot of "love your face" and stuff about chickens...again your business what you are posting. I just didn't appreciate basically being told that the regulars on the forum aren't doing a good job supporting each other. Also, if someone is reading every day and not posting...how is that helping those in need? It sounds like you are playing both sides...again, just MY opinion.

Thanks Michelle, it's nice to see someone does!! I wish all those that agreed with me in PM's would agree with me in public.

I never said, people werent doing a good job, just that alot of people were being looked over. It makes me laugh that I keep hearing that we, Robin and are, were criticizing... we never did. It was more like an observation, an opinion if you will. All I suggested was for people to post whatever they wanted in the appropriate area. I like jokes and surveys as much as anybody else.
It may seem like I was missing for months, but I have been posting just the same, maybe not 15 threads/posts a day like a year ago, but I have been actively posting. I dont see how you would have ever noticed, considering I can go back to 6 months of threads started by myself, in which you rarely respond to. For whatever reason you dont, I find it odd that you noticed I wasnt around... when I have been. Go ahead and take a look for yourself. I even responded to your post wanting suggestions for husband X mas present a slumber party ideas.... Ive been here, you just havent noticed.

I feel you dont respond to me unless you want to pick a fight. I.E. Callery kids thread, Fundraiser for Dale thread. I dont know why I bother you so, but its obvious from my end that I do, which is why I tend to be lighthearted and fun when posting to your threads. Why do you like picking fights with Robin and I, on her threads you appear to critisize her more than support her. I.E. questioning her friendship, now this thread.... when you usually dont respond to her posts at all.

You said something like, "he who casts the first stone is not without sin." You constantly judge and critisize the very person who gave you much of her wardrobe, invited you into her home and supported you through your surgery... if I recall she loaned you the cough bear even... which is mine and would like it returned. Why dont you think about all that was, instead of all that isnt right now? People are faced with hurdles, we get over them and move on, times change, people change. We are all here now. Whether it be everyday or once a week... how do you measure support and friendship, its not possible.

FYI the correct quote is, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone " John 8:7
Thats exactly what happened. Robin is without sin, she admits her faults, as so do I.

Can we just agree to disagree... times infinity? Its my feeling we will never see eye to eye and if we ever did, you wouldnt admit it anyways.

I'm not going to post a loooonngg answer to this as I have to go to bed...and just as you think Chrissy must have the last word, I feel you always have to have the last word, so I'm not going to play.

I was just setting the record straight on what I originally meant, not trying to get into a whole new pissing match. I will say the reason it always seems like I am picking fights with you is I will stand up for what I think is right...i.e. the Dale Fundraiser, etc. Not like some here who would rather not fight with the "queen of the forum" and be shunned forever. I am NOT calling you names, so don't take it that way...you just intimidate some people and I hope I am speaking for some of them now.

You have only Robin's side of what our "friendship" pertained to, so I don't think you can comment on that.

FYI - Jen has your bear...Robin was privy to the info on my passing it to Chrissy and then from Chrissy to Jen.

Wow...wow...wow.

What I want to say about this is that IN MY OPINION I have learned SOMETHING about something or someone (including myself) on each and every thread I've ever read on this forum. Trivial or not. And occasionally I've had to dig a little deep to find it, but if I've really thought about it, I can get something out of it. It might be practical advice or it might be the recognition of someone's personal success or it might simply be an appreciative laugh, but I can always find SOMETHING of value and interest to me. Keep in mind that each of us sets our own definition of value and interest. Your trash might be my treasure or vice versa. Neither of us is right or wrong and none of these threads are any less valuable to the whole than any others....they might just be less important to our own selves. Does that make sense to everyone?

This thread is no exception. And, although it is sad to see miscommunication that has lead to such bickering, I can still appreciate the fact that this thread exists and we all have the opportunity of opening up our minds to the content. I've learned something from it, and I bet you all have, too.

Sometimes it's just a matter of celebrating our differences, as well as similarities, and exhibiting tolerance and understanding for it all.....

Default Bridge and Robin

Well I love my Bridge and Robin and all the other long timers around here...When I first came around over a year ago this forum was a great deal of help to me but now like other say I come here to alot of silly stuff..I know I have posted pregnancy questions here and got one response and sometimes none at all but like other said the silly stuff will get a million responses. I believe it makes people think twice about posting especially if your a newcomber and see that. I am not going to put anyone down for coming here to socialize because we all need that in our life but just don't forget about people who are really in need of support as well...

Bridge and Robin and my weeeee lil Dale were the best to me when I was going through pre-op then surgery. They were patient and understanding and answered all my silly and dumb questions. When I would log on in the middle of the night because I was 3 days out of surgery and swallowed a macaroni noodle by accident and thought I was going to die, they sat there and comforted me and probably laughed there butts off at me that I was so darn scared of a noodle..LOL But all in all I remember those great times when I could post something here and get a million responses within minutes!

So all in all I just ask that we keep the "important" issues in mind and just keep supporting each other!
