Robin, I agree and its a source of frustration for me as well. I have PM admin several times about making "stickied" topics. A permanant place where one can go regarding very common questions like hernia, insurance, what do I bring to the hospital etc. I think that it would create a very valuable permanant resource. My idea was to have some of the old timers do a write up on a topic they are especially familiar with. I think that creating permanant threads that wont get lost in the day to day spam would be ideal. I am not a Callery patient, anyone have rapport that can get that idea across?

In response to the thread that is escalating on boards regarding helping ppl vs being social: I am talkin to admin regarding this atm.

I think that this would be a huge asset. I think that old school forum ppls like Robin, Marie, Rain, Bridget could perhaps author the post and we could make it a permanant sticky. Like, a Perma FAQ. This would bring the board back to where it was intended to be, and allow the long termers the opportunity to shine with their experience.

I can SOOO tell you from experience, thats not a good thing to do. Hmm 11th grade, 2nd period drama class....the wrath of Bridget Fisher! <3 yah girl!

Cant remember whose quote this was:

This is a PM I received from Bridget, right after she ripped me to shreds here on the forum.....

GIVE ME A BREAK PEOPLE!! Seriously, get real and stop taking everything so darn personally. I am am extremely CONFUSED that you all are whining and crying hurt hoochie-lala. No one "called anyone out" No one "ripped anyone to shreds"

For the love of all our sanity save the drama. We all have too much real life junk going on to carry on like this.

All Robin was saying is DONT OVERLOOK THE NEW POSTS AND THE PEOPLE THAT NEED HELP. You can do that by 1) continuing to be social and 2) taking an extra 30 seconds to type out a response if you have experience.

Jeez...and look at me, why the hell hasnt someone called me out and been like, um you still hovering @ 250 from 468? Well yes dammit I am and Bridge, Robin, Ree, Holly... someone PLEASE chew my ass out for eating the wrong crap.

I wish people would just get over themselves. Get an open mind already.
You would find the world so much more insightful if you did.

Girl you have come a long way! I am not one to tell anyone how to live (eat) I know you have some choices in food that you know are not the best but as long as you keep all things in moderation (which from our conversations you do) I think you are doing just fine. I don’t eat the best stuff all the time. Last night I had rolled tacos! Yep I did and I don’t feel one bit bad about it. I worked my ass off at the gym all week and if I want something ( and I know it is not the normal thing to do all the time ) I will have it. If you really feel like your lack of loss lately is due to bad choices and not just the normal plateau you know I am there for ya girl. Call me!

I have been stuck just like you. I am right now! Hello I have been fighting two flippin pounds for like 3 weeks. You are doing great and I support you in your choices. Love ya tam!

Why justify or use food as a reward? Eat it because you want to. Exercise because you like to, because it makes you feel good. When you do things without expectations, then the incredible happens. Seems corny, but it works for me.

I agree, I don't think there is any need to remove the post. I don't offer a lot of advice because I don't really feel like I'm offering anything new. I wasn't going to respond to this thread but I think it is important that we don't get into the habit of messaging John and asking him to pull threads because somebody said something we didn't like or didn't want to hear.

Bridgette I enjoy your posts and take from them what I find useful and disregard what doesn't apply to my situation. I admit that I read your initial post and at first I took it the wrong way but then I thought "who cares...i know I'm not out drinking 5 days a week and eating like an out of control piglet, I don't need to reply to this post so that people on this forum will believe me." I reread it, looked a little deeper and realized it was more of a challenge to people to share your experiences with those asking for help.

I will try to be more forthcoming and offer my experience if I think somebody will find value in it. For what it's worth, I find value in this thread. Robin was bringing up a valid point, lets offer support, advice, tough love first and then participate in the silly postings.

Anyway, back to my original thought. This thread is valuable because it's intent is to remind us all to pay it forward. Share your experience, offer advice, dole out the tough love when needed.

I dont treat it as a reward. I dont deprive myself of anything if I really want it. I just never have a lot of anything anymore. Just a bite or two. I think about what I eat and if I workout it makes it eaiser to have a little something out of the normal healthy habits.

Sorry sista I will never like working out. I do it because I HAVE to not because I WANT to. Working out makes me tired and sore and I dont feel like doing much of anything after I do it. That is why I work out after work. I am much more productive on the 1-2 days a week I dont work out. I wish working out gave me tons of energy but it dosent. Its cool though I am working toward my goal. I have to do what works for me

I made this post out of love and concern. Anyone that knows me, and I mean really knows me, knows this true. I'm sorry that it got so personal at times, but in the end at least people might remember what it's intent was and not leave people hangin. I don't care one way or the other if it's deleted or not, its message was shouted to the unniverse and that's enough for me.

I have to answer Tammy.... and Holly... but I'm going to do it on another thread....
