Default 4 months post op and...

60 pounds down, yahoooooooooo

k, so i was at my sons hockey game tonight, and one of the parents (whom i see often enough) came up to me and said, wow, you lost weight, been busy dieting?

okay so did they think i cut off 60 pounds like Lisa Boston cut of 125 pounds? they just notice tonight? wow people are so silly, other hockey moms that know about surgery commented on how much i have changed since xmas, glad there is a difference as i was getting so discouraged as i have been STUCK and fighting with the same 3 pounds, but this morning for my official weigh in the scale said 162.4, so 60 pounds total loss for my official 4 months post op date, so happy about that.

Awesome Carrie. I didn't know that you were still questioning having this done. What makes you feel this way? You were a lightweight, so taking 60lbs off your frame made SO MUCH difference. Not far to go now.

Congrats girl!

Oooooh Carrie you are doing so awesome. Don't be discouraged with those that don't notice. You are the one that matters. How much healthier and freer do you feel with that 60 pounds gone? I often envision in my mind something that weighs about x number of pounds and how nice it would be to have that gone.

60 pounds! That is my 6 year old and my 2 year old put together. How wonderful that is to have that gone forever.

I have to lose my whole 12 year old and then some. Ugh!!!!

Keep up the good work girl and you will be at your goal before you know it!!! You are such a wonderful inspiration.

When you need that extra boost we are here for you.

Woot! Congrats... Very impressive!! Be proud!! (and maybe they just didnt couldnt believe their eyes!!)

I love reading how much people have lost, and still think there should be some kind of "total counter" to show just how much everyone on the site has lost put together! For no other reason than the WOW factor!

Congrats Carrie, 60lbs is a big, big deal!!!! I also am almost at the 4 month mark and I have lost 60+ lbs, I was thinking I was losing pretty slowly compared to others here, but I guess I am right on track, at least my Surgeon says I am. I love it when people notice the weight gone, it makes this all that more worthwhile. Keep it going girl

Carrie,
You're doing awesome! I can't believe they didn't notice earlier! It's true what people say about larger people being "invisible"
