Default OT-<3felt thx to Ya'll

I just wanted to take an opportunity to say thank you to everyone that referred their friends and family to me for insurance. As many of you know I was struggling @ work to maintain my numbers and was in jeopardy of possibly seeking employment elsewhere.

Not only was I able to pull through that difficult time, but I was able to propel myself forward to be a front runner in the sales contest. The grand prize was a 52 inch plasma television. I didn't win that, but I think that I came out much more ahead. I was actually managed to not only salvage my job but I won a $1000.00 gift card to circuit city. In addition to that, I won over $450 in visa gift cards as well. Those gift cards financed Christmas. With 9 nine nieces and nephews it was truly a blessing.

The practical-sensible in me wanted to sell the 1K card in order to pay bills but in the long run I ended up keeping it. After all, how many times can you just walk in to a retail store and spend a thousand dollars without it taking a toll on the bank account?

My husband had no idea so the win was a surprise to him as well. Thanks to Holly he has a fantastic job and is making more money than ever before. The combination of his December pay with my turn of good fortune made for a very nice "catch up on the bills" Christmas.

For the first time since we got married we were able to buy one another gifts. To us the holidays aren't about gifts but it was fun to finally be able to give to one another anyway.

So I surprised the hubby with a 42 inch Samsung DLP projection TV. (thanks to the gift card!) Since his B-day is 12/21 I managed to squeeze a birthday gift in there too. If you are shopping for a gaming console the Nintendo Wii is quite the work out. The daily fitness challenge and the boxing make a quick, efficient pick me up especially if you are lazy about exercise like I am. Also, circuit City will negotiate prices to a certain degree. I managed to get them to lower the price on the TV by about $90, waive delivery and even rec'd it before X-mas. In addition to that, the TV was already drastically reduced, the same model/size @ Best buy was sellin for $1350 and I walked out the door @ $850.00, delivery and Wii accessories. Dont be afraid to ask, especially @ the holidays!!

David actually surprised me with a soft pink Dooney and Bourke leather hobo with wallet and key fob as well. I tried to not stress about how much that cost, considering that we had been so blessed with the extras. I do still feel guilty when I sling that bag over my shoulder but dang, it looks cute!

Again, thank you to everyone that contributed to my recent success. I appreciate all the help as it has kept me consistently employed. It feels so good to be caught up on bills and not worry about keeping my job. You have all been sooo supportive and I love and appreciate that about my extended fam.

Much love!

--Tammy

Tammy you have been through a lot and have worked hard to get what you have. Sista don't feel bad about anything you got from it. You and the hubby so deserve it. I hope you see many more months like December.
