The FLU????? H E L P
I have now had the flu off and on for the past two weeks. Add in a head cold with sinus infection, three kids and a revolving virus door that keeps biting ME in the arse... HOW do I get rid of this??? I don't think I can handle another week of this. I am shakey, misserable and this is the worst I have ever felt since surgery. Just when I think it's going to let up, one of the kids gets it and I am back hurling and sick all over again. This is the third bout of it in two weeks with severe congestion in between. I just want it to stop...Suggestions?

I Agree !!
Lysol EVERYTHING! Use disposable cups, silverware, papertowels. Carry around one of those little bottles of hand sanitizer and you and the kids use it obsessively. When it seems like it is starting to fade wash everything, sheets, pillowcases etc etc. Become a "germ freak" for a week or two and that should get it out of the house. I know it sucks to clean when you feel like crap but atleast if you can kill the germs youll feel better soon!
Hope it works!
(((((hugs)))))

Airborne!!! I take it everyday. So far we have only had one round of the cold/flu thing. I give it to the kids everyday. It doesn't help much once you are sick, but it can build the immune system to stave off new ones. HUGS!! I feel for you!

We have been battling the same thing here since Thanksgiving. Good hand washing, lysol everything and pray. I feel despite taking vitamins now religiously, I have been more sick since the surgery than prior to. I don't know if there is some unknown deficiency that if affecting my immune system, but I am sick and tired of being sick!!!!

Can't spell it
Actually, I have the box - we do a homeopathic medicine that helps a bit, but as you know there is no cure. It is called: Oscillococcinum by Boiron. They are these little vials of disolving pellets - like I said they help take the edge off.
Germ warfare is important too, of course. We use Airborne too but if you're already sick, oy.
Then of course, there is always chicken soup with extra ginger for your tummy.
Good luck you poor woman. Mothers never really get to just veg out do we?? Are you keeping down fluids now?? Try to get in what you can, got to keep your strength up if you can. You know, protein, electolytes etc.

{{{{{{Zen}}}}}}} This is a HORRIBLE year for bugs/colds. EVERYONE is sick as hell. Work has been horrible cuz of sick calls, all the nurses have the plague! Strep seems to be running rampant too.
Hang in there. I agree: hand sanitizer, lysol, no sharing of anything!, fluids, fluids, fluids.

You know, I have been sick throughout the Holidays. I have been on two courses of antibiotics that aren't even touching me. I had the stomach flu on top of it to boot. I swore I had strep and had trouble breathing. I can't believe how sick I have been. I had the flu shot, too. I think you need to try to rest and keep hydrated. Hopefully, you will feel better soon. My problem is everyone keeps bringing there crap to me and I am the weak link.
hugs~
