Default The Latest

Well, here’s the latest. I talked to my insurance company “case worker”, who told me my PCP can call them and speak to one of their doctors regarding my wls. She described it to me as a peer-to-peer consultation, and that this can help my appeal. I passed the information on to my doctor so will see what happens next. January 12 is the “30 day” mark since I submitted my appeal letter.

I also go in for cervical and lumbar spine x-rays on Thursday. I don’t complain about it, but my legs and arms go numb. I can drive fine, but it’s getting very irritating when it happens – mainly at night or standing in one spot for to long (legs), and sitting at a desk (left arm mainly.) For the past six months I’ve taken to walking with a cane when I’m out and about. This helps relieve some of the pain and pressure in my lower back. Friends have speculated it could be the sciatic nerve that’s causing all this. All I know is I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis when I was granted my disability claim from the military. So, will see what the x-rays have to say.

Anyway, that’s what’s going on as of today.

It's just not fair Pat! You know, I actually felt guilty when I got my surgery date knowing that your struggle is still continuing. That lasted all of about 5 seconds then the happy dance started. Besides, I know this will be the year of your surgery and I'll be saving you a seat on the loser's bench!
