Default Junkie food and my new recipe book.

I really need to get a grip on eating junky food. Today, I ate the steak fries from Red Robin and of course had to dip them in ranch...yummy...but yucky. All afternoon, I have been feeling like crud. Ya think by now, I would know better. I just need to get control and remember how much I love feeling well. Anyone else out there having trouble right now because of all of the Holiday hype? I usually do pretty good, but had to taste the homemade fudge and cookies and candy...oh boy. Today, I was eating half price Christmas M &M's....just because they are half price does not justify me buying them and making excuses to eat them...BAD me. I need a swift kick in the rear. I am gonna go pull out my skinny pants and vow to get back into them. Anyone else want to join me? I am going to try to be more like Emeril or some kind of cook and make myself and family good food. I just need to slow down with work and more work and take time for my health and family.

Thanks as always for listening to me. I hope that this gives a bit of insight to the early pre-ops of how things will be further out. It does get harder at times, but I know that I must continue to use my tool and nourish my body. I have this craving for tomatoes and my sister in law made this cool little recipe for Christmas. She placed a whole bunch of tiny cherry tomatoes on a plate and in the middle was Lemon salt....to dip them in. If you poke holes in the tomatoes and pour vodka all over them..it soaks into the tomatoes. You dip them in the lemon salt. She made them without the vodka which was perfect to me because I don't drink. They are called Drunken Tomatoes. Anyway, what does it mean that I crave tomatoes all of the time. I eat Roma tomatoes by the handfuls....what I am deficient in? Anywho...here I go again ranting and blabbing on and on.

I am gonna go make some of my famous corn dip...I just love the stuff....yummy yummy. I am thinking of making a recipe book of all of my favorites things and posting it here. I know there is a recipe section. I really want to gather recipes from you all. If you have any great recipes that are to die for, can you email them to me. If you don't mind, I am gonng make an accumulative book and if anyone wants me to mail a final copy of them all, I can. What do you all think? I have a really good vanilla custard chocalate eclair thingy that is super easy to make. I also have my grandmas famous Mexican rice recipe that I would love to pass along...awesome. I am still waiting for my Mommies awesome chicken tortilla soup recipe and will add that, too.

I vow to eat healthier and I am gonna do it. If anyone wants to help me, great. I can make lots of copies at work. I am gonna call it the thinnertimes collaberation of recipes...how does that sound? If anyone has a problem with me doing that let me know. I don't want to step on anyone's toes or make anyone mad at me.

Love to all and Happy, Healthy New Year!!!

I'd love a copy also! I want to know how you can weigh 103 and say you need to lose weight??? Unless you are really really short, I can't imagine it!

I can vouch for the junky food train!

I love beer battered onion rings idipped in ranch...ooohhaahhhh!

O.k., I also love almond croisants from the French Bakery.

I vow to eat healthier...even if my treats are once in a while, I feel like I need to curb them a little!!

I'll answer for little Dale......that is her lowest weight. She is a little higher than that now.......and that was too low for her really. She IS tiny, but she looks great now! But still, BAD Dale for eating crap!!

Thanks Marty for answering for me. I currently go from 112 to 120. I am 5'2" if I am lucky. I do feel the best around 112. When I go up to 120..I start to feel it.

I just need to stay on track with not chosing junk.

No, I don't need to lose...I need to maintain the healthy way. The lowest weight I got to is 103 and I felt awful. I dropped down to 105 a few months ago when I was going through surgeries again. My body goes up and down depending on whether or not I am eating well.

That makes sense now. I saw the 102 there and was like.....what? That's pretty little. I'm sorry you had to have surgeries, hope your okay now.

Default Dale dear

My completely unscientific idea about the tomatoes is that you're trying to absorb more calcium. Like when we crave pickles and ice cream - for the calcuim which acidic food helps you to absorb. Possible??

I am with you on the restart - I keep trying but I can not stay on the wagon! I have even thought of doing a liquid diet for a few days. Has anyone ever done that? I feel like I'm all freaked out and need something a little extreme to get back on track.

Still working out every day, but when I get to the end of the day, I've filled in all my calories and eaten "enough" I keep finding myself getting more food! That does not help - even if it is good food!!

I'm getting annoyed...

Good luck to you and here here on the recipe book. You might even be able to publish it and make a few $$!
