My husband brought home McDonalds last night for dinner because I have been sick for the past 4 days so he decided to get me a cheeseburger from Mickey D's...well,,I hesitantly took the burger off the bun and tried to eat it,,and it actually went down pretty good....of course I could only eat about half of it but my puppy dogs enjoyed the other half :-) they didn't get sick either ;-)
One thing I did try yesterday for the first time since surgery was the Triscuit crackers,,,oh man,,,I about died! they DID NOT get along well with my pouch at all...it was all I could do to not throw it up,,,It's weird how some things are ok and others are not....Trial and error,,,thats all we can do :-)

i chewed the beef about 40 times to just make sure. I didn't want to get sick. I had guacamole for the first time yesterday and it was so good.

I havent been able to do ground beef at all since surgery. Every time i "try", and i have about once a month... so 7ish times, my stomache goes into immediate revolt and throws it back at me. I cant even disguise it in stuff like chili or anything. Makes me sad.

On the upside i THINK i maybe able to eat eggs again! I tried a bite of my husbands egg sandwich the other morning and it went down ok! I havent been able to handle eggs since about June.

I can do chili just fine...scrambled egg w/salsa...salmon...tuna on saltine or whole wheat ritz crackers....string cheese...kashi cereal w/vanilla soy milk..1/2 banana...chicken and stars soup...that's about all the exciting stuff I've tried so far. I feel very lucky....I haven't vomited once since my 2nd surgery for the blockage. Whatever revision he made seems to have done the trick! I pretty much eat just the things listed above...it gives me enough variety and I know I won't get sick. I'll stick with these things for quite awhile. I won't be trying the Cruchwrap Supreme at Taco Bell anytime soon! lol! (Man, that sounds good actually). Have a good day!

For those of you who can't do ground beef, early on I would take ground chicken with some sauted onion in a little chicken broth so it is very tender. Drain it and add warm ricotta......yummy.
