Hi Everyone,

It's been awhile since I've posted. I used to watch and learn on the Yahoo site, then got real busy. I'm happy to say that my journey has finally started!!

I went to last months initiation meeting, put the request in with my GP and SUPRISE, SUPRISE was given the OK by insurance to continue. It didn't even take them a month to give me my authorization for consult. I couldn't beleive it. I was all prepared for a fight! I mailed all my paper work in today. Now I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next step.

Thanks so much for all the advice. Even if you didn't really know you were giving it to me! I don't talk much...But I've learned so much from all of you. Being able to read all your posts has really helped me. I've printed off some and am keeping kind of a 'Bible' to refer to, I've started buying little things that you have talked about, so I don't have to do on huge shopping trip later. I'm still in a little of a shocked state, I can't beleive it happened so fast, hopefully that is a good omen...

Again, thanks for all the advice and am looking forward to meeting some of you at meetings. I'm going to try to get to some of the Santee meetings in the next month or so.

So nice to meet you and to have you back! Be prepared...once the consult comes around...it seems to go very fast!!! At least, it did for me!

I am 5 and a half weeks post-op and doing pretty good. Lots of baby steps and trial and error but things are great!

Thanks Karen. I've waited so long, it still seems a little unreal! Congrats on 5 1/2 weeks! You've lost alot of weight and look great!! I'm looking forward to the meetings. I'm going to try for the Nutrition one next Wednesday in Poway.
