OT-Anyone get any killer bargains on the biggest shopping day of the year?
Hi Everyone,
I had to tell you about my big savings this weekend. I went out on Friday at 5 am to stand in line and get my kids a trampoline. They run for 350 here with the net enlcosure, I got it the day after Thanksgiving for 189!
Anyone else get any super savings bargains????

I DID! I DID!!!! Went to Best Buy to see if we could get one of those computers (early bird special people camp out for) for $189! Well, of course they were gone, so stood in line for an hour and a half JUST to checkout there for some other things I got the kids for Christmas. Then, went to Walmart and looked at their computers. Well, was not looking for anything big and massive, but something upgradeable for later, so found a tower, keyboard, and mouse without the monitor, which we didn't need anyway, and it's priced $288. It had AMD Athlon Processer, 3.0 mhz, 256 MB RAM, NVIDIA video card with 128 MB RAM. So, thought this would be okay and upgradeable. Went to check out and had gotten a few food items too and the total came to $199 and some odd change. I, of course, was standing there with my mouth open trying to figure out what was going on. Got the receipt and looked and was only charged $148 for the computer! WOW! I stopped one of the managers that I know to ask what was going on, thinking it had been done wrong, and she said that it was one of the sleeper items that they have around the store. They only have "1" of them and there were other things like that in the store, but nobody knew which item for sure, so I hit the jackpot! She said....Congratulations, today was your day! I came out of that store feeling like I had won the lottery! LOL The computer is a Compaq Presario. I've never gotten such a deal or won anything in my life. hehehe

Way cool!!! I got some cool DVD's for $3.98 at Target...heck that is cheaper than renting a video. Other than that...I was homebound resting up from cooking. Boy did my crowd of 25+ do me in.

I avoid the Friday crazies as much as possible and usually shop online, but this year with the house up for sale, Christmas has been in limbo, and I just woke up that its the season, so I went shopping last week after work, and yesterday after church...

Not a Big one
But... I needed a new Christmas tree (I hate getting a fake one, but the real ones make me sneeze too much). So Saturday evening, I went on the prowl. I went to Lowe's and found a nice one, 4 and 1/2 feet tall and pre-lit for $40.00. Checked Wal-Mart, Pool City and Home Depot. $40.00 was the cheapest, so I bought it. Then on Sunday while checking out the paper I saw Joanne Frabrics had the same one for only $30.00. It wasn't reall worth taking it back for $10.00, so I was just gonna keep the one I had, then I found the 50% off coupon in Joanne's add, so long story, but I got my 4 1/2 foot pre-lit tree for $15.00!!

I went and stood in a crazy line at Target to get two 9inch personal DVD players for only $89 each!! They are like $200 regular so I think I got a pretty good deal! Not to mention the LONG drive to my mothers this Christmas season will be MUCH MORE peaceful if each of my boys have their own... WITH HEADPHONES!!
