You know my Dad had been harrassing me about my weight since I can remember, even before I got "fat" He used to tell me I need to join a gym or so some type of diet. I would say "that is just too expensive for me" and he would say "well it doesn't cost a dime to push yourself away from the table." I still remember that. My Dad doesn't have a weight problem and never has had one in his life. He eats like a bird, he brags how he just stops eating when he is not hungry anymore.. he doesn't wait until he is full. He really thinks it is ALL about will power. THAT is why I made him my buddy so that he could be educated by Dr. Callery and he could show him that there are psychological issues as well that cause obesity. It isn't just a battle of will power. Anyway don't worry about it, skinny people just don't get it. My Dad now officially weighs more than me!!!!!! It was pretty cool a few weeks ago he actually called ME skinny.. ME!!! And then I made him jump on the scale and then I jumped on after him and wala.. I was lighter.. it was a great moment, very empowering. Just realize that there is nothing you can do about people who are rude and make such comments. The only person you have to worry about is yourself. You are a good person, and we all have eating disorders, or we wouldn't be where we were. We're here for ya and we don't judge you.. we think you're great just as you are. Have a great day. And way to tell your Dad off.. I've done it myself. As a matter of fact, there was one year a couple of years ago where I made him make the New Years Resolution to not say a thing about my weight for a year, and he didn't .. well, until the Next New Years Day.. lol

I am glad your dad got to see that is it not that easy. My dad was overeight too but then found out he was a dibetic and had to start taking med and cut out bread and pasta and lost a lot of weight. so he thinks because he lost it easy i should be able to also. But he does not understand I work from 52 to 60 hours a week and it is all standing on my feet lifting heavy boxes all day and put out freight. Then when I come home it is take care of the kids and help with home work. I dont eat breakfast 90% of the time I know that is bad but i dont have the time most days. Then for luch I eat at work usally eat fast no time...to many interruptions then come home late and sometimes dont eat sometimes have something lite. But even though I go thru all that I am still 325Lbs. He said well you just dont eat the right things you need to eat this...and blah blah blah....He just dont get it. I know this is kinda long but it feels good to get it out. The only time I was small if you want to call 190 small was when I worked 5 days a week and worked out 7 days a week but I had to work out for like 4 hours a day. 2 hours on a treadmill. the rest on bike and lifing weights. But I dont have time or the energy to do it I was still going to the gym I have not been in 7 months because the back pain knee pain and hip pain has been to much. After work I just hurt so bad I go Home. He dont understand this. So I am hopeing I will be approved and lose the wieight the pain will go away the engery will go up and I can get back to the gym. Sorry that was so long I feel a little better now!

Question Vent, vent, vent!

It feels good to get it out girlfriend! BTW did you say greens at thanksgiving? I love greens... the greenier the vegetable the more I love it!

About your dad, I cant tell you how many times I heard "just push yourself away from the plate" comment... I think I hated that more than the "You have such a pretty face" comment! Just try to remind yourself that he cares about you.... that is a very nice thing. Some peoples folks could give a rats behind about them.... consider yourself blessed sugar pea!

I dont know if Im lucky or what, but neither of my folks or any of my family has never said anything about my weight... when I was heavy.... now its like.. stop losing! I didnt even think I had a weight problem until last fall when I went and saw Dr Callery and he told me HOW overweight I really was... I use to look in the mirror and think, I just need to lose 50 pounds, ha! Here I am 120 pounds lighter...... maybe if my family would have said something I would have tried a little harder to lose the weight... other than what I had been doing... I dunno, perhaps I would have rebeled and ate more... who knows..... here I am venting too, but I dont even think I have made much of a point... other than Im a martian ! Who knows what would have happened to me, if my pops had said something..... I guess thats my point? lol
Thanks for listening!

Yeah that is true I am blessed to have parents that love me ...Thanks For pointing that out to me. True I probally would have not even tried to fight the bulge if he did not ride me so much. I would probally died years ago if it were not for my family pushing me. I just hope all goes well and then I too can say I am down 120 Lbs and feeling great! THen maybe they can relax and stop stressing about my weight But like I said still waiting on the insurance to give the ok
