I woke up to snow this morning and I don't own a WINTER COAT!! I gave it away months ago!! I am SO COLD right now!! *L* And wouldn't you know we had plans on taking our yearly fall camping weekend this weekend. I always look SO forward to this weekend!! I love the fall colors and I so wanted to get out and just do some hiking and enjoy them BEFORE THE SNOW!!!

Come take a vacation down here. It has been breezy and in the 80's.

We have lived in Temecula for 3 years and ONCE it snowed. We were sooo excited. The kids came running in our room at 6:30 on a Sun. morning screaming that it was snowing. I DID NOT believe them...I thought they were just trying to think of an excuse to wake us up early for donuts or something. I LOVE weather...I wish it snowed here...a little!!

Go ahead, rub it in Dyann!!
*L* I was just so not ready for this yet! My winter wardrobe is almost nonexistent and I really was trying to wait as long as possible to buy a winter coat since they are so darned expensive and I probably won't be able to wear it more than one winter. Last winter I got away with wearing a lighter weight jacket all winter because with my weight I was ALWAYS hot but now I'm ALWAYS cold!! I suspect I'm really going to have to layer up this winter.

yeah...well I wouldn't mind a little snow either. I mean I really like that we have different seasons here in Michigan but come on now! We don't really need to start the snow 2 months early!! I would say 4 months of snow is long enough. *L* I wasn't really looking for 6 months!

I was stationed in Minot, North Dakota for 2 years.
YOU CAN KEEP THE SNOW!
I left ND in 1978, and have not been in the snow since, I just can't bring myself to go back into it - even if it's for a day.
My family (wifey is from the Philippines) want's to have a "White Christmas" back east sometime. I'll have to suck it up if we ever do. One thing I WOULD like is to visit the New England area during fall. I'd really like to see a real fall, with the trees changing color and all that.

Beth,
All I can say is, "I'm so glad I'm in Hawaii!!!!"
Seriously though, we just moved from GL, IL and I am so thankful we did, since I would not have been able to take a winter there this year. I would have been stuck in my house with the heater turned up to like 80! I love the snow from NOV1 to Jan 1 and then I always wanted it sunny and warm again. However, somehow the weather would never cooperate with me there???
Good Luck finding a winter coat, and quick!

I've never seen a New England fall but the fall is beautiful here too. It actually is my most favorite season. I absolutly LOVE the fall colors and always look forward to getting out and walking through the woods. I guess that's one of the reasons this early snowy weather is bumming me out. I know it won't be sticking around many days but it seems to have ruined our camping plans for this weekend and this is the last weekend this fall we could go.
Maybe it will get bright and sunny tomorrow and warm up? Yeah right, they are calling for rain and snow at least through Saturday morning.
...don't mind me, folks...I'm just in the mood to grumble... *L*
