Hi All,

Had my open RNY in Feb of 2002. Other than a hernia, which I caused myself because I felt so good, I've not had any major problems. Except this....I have mouth sores all the time!!! Always inside my mouth or on my tongue. I take Lysine (recommended by many friends) and it helps some, but I still get them and they are very painful. I NEVER had a cold sore or mouth sore before my surgery. My family doc has even put me on two rounds of anti-viral meds to try to help stop it, but no luck so far. Does anyone else have this problem or have any idea why?

Sorry Girl, I don't know of any cure to help you out, but wanted to welcome you to the board! We're glad you're here.

Congratulations on your surgery! Besides the hernia, glad to hear that all's good!

I hope someone here can help you with the mouth sores.
