As for the Chinese....I don't know what everyone's theory is on it...I didn't want anyone to jump me if they thought I was eating the rice, chow mein, etc. I eat the Kung Pao Chicken..only...I have no idea what's in it and don't really care...it works for me....no guilt here.
LOL.......chinese works well for me too. I avoid anything very sweet and anything deep fried. Egg drop soup was something I cherished early out! I don't concern myself with what people think about my choices either, unless I am asking for some insight or info., which sometimes I do if I struggle. It does bother me when people seem proud to be consistently breaking the rules. But I believe in the moderation theory, and it's working well for me. I am still learning though, which things I can't yet moderate.

I do chinese food regularly. Just not the rice, noodles or fried stuff. I get kung pao or spicy shrimp and I make sure I go to a place that does not use MSG since it makes me ill. The spicier the better for me post op. It is all about the protein and with chinese I can get both my protein and veggies together in a taste that I like. I know a lot of post-ops that can't do chinese but thankfully I am not one of them!!!
