My FIRST WOW MOMENT...Not your average ...!!
I was at Wally world, picking up last minute school stuff. LOL!! Anyway...by the time we got to shoes..Cole, my son, of course had to PEE..so my Mom took him while the girls and I puttered though there, found exactly what I wanted for him and had time to kill waiting for the other two to get back...sooo...beings all the summer shoes were on sale...well you can see where this is headed! (Girls..I know you will appreciate this...) I decided to go to the Womens shoe isle and look for something for me. Now...I was 1/2 way up a row when Sam (my eldest daughter) picked out these cute shoes in an 8 1/2...(I have worn a 9 -9 1/2 for the past 7 years...) and asks me to try them on. I of course argue that they won't fit...blah, blah, blah...should have just been talking to a freaking ROCK for all she listened! SO..to shut her up and quit her arguing with me, I tried them on....THEY FREAKIN' FIT!!! I was FLABERGHASTED! I was nearly in tears before I realized it could just be a shoe type thing. So here I am, in the shoe isle, with my two girls grabbing 12 different pairs of shoes all in 8 1/2, taking them out and lining them up...for me to try on...now these are regulars not WIDE WIDTH!!! And damnit if they didn't all just slip on easy as pie!!! I started crying for real!!!!!!!!!!!! Here I have spent the past 7 years in sz. 9 or 9 1/2 and WW.....and now...8 1/2 regulars!!! Mom came back and was quite shocked...1st that I was teared up...second that I was teared up and laughing like a loon while standing in front of now dozens of pairs of shoes on the floor sticking my feet into every single one of them over and over again...then doing a little dance before moving on to the next! So unlike most people...My WOW...was about SHOES!!!! And yes, I bought the shoes Sam originally picked out...(they were on clearance...$11...what could I say...The girl was spot ON!) THAT was my FIRST EVER WOW MOMENT!!! And here I thought it would be over getting into 18's and realizing they were getting awful loose! Nope..SHOES...it's all about the SHOES!!!! YEAH ME!!!!

Not me....
I will always be a " big foot" got that from dads side of the family... My daughter also has large feet ( size 11) Dads sisters wear 11...When my grandmother saw my daughters feet she said " she has thompson feet ! " I may fit in a 9 1/2 but usually 10.
Congratulations on finding lots of shoes !

OMG, I can totally relate. I used to always wear 9- 9 1/2's. When I went to the shoe store with my parents and boyfriend my mom was taking forever so I tried on a pair of K-Swiss sneaks. They are a size 8 and fit so nicely. I was in awe and confused at the same time...

That is great...and even better is they will fit you longer than any of the clothes you buy on the way down. Smart investment and great wow story.

That's really cool. I had heard our shoe size might shrink from my nutritionist but you are the first person I've read that actually has had this happen. Very nice! I don't think my feet will get down to size 8 1/2 though
