What's on Your MP3???
Beings we have to exercise...I find that I do much better on the treadmill if I am walking to a beat..I have several songs on my iPod that I have organized into beats that I can walk various speeds to. This is sooo helpful and I have finally managed two miles in 30 min. (Yeah, slow I know...but I am new at this walking thing...)
Anyway..I am always looking for new tunes to add...SOOOO
What's on your MP3?
Mine:
Wait & Bleed - Slipknot
London Bridges - Fergie
Duality - Slipknot
Since U Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson
Faint - Linkin Park
Bounce - System of a Down
Numb - Linkin Park
Hollaback Girl - Gwen Steffani
Temperature - Sean Paul
Unfaithful - Rhianna
Glycerine - Bush
Just a Little Bit - 50 Cent
So what do you have?

I feel like a dork saying this but my friend told me the other day he does it too so atleast i know im not alone....
I listen to Books on "tape". It actually works REALLY well for me. When im really involved with a book i tend to not want to stop or check time/distance/calorie etc every 3-4 minutes when the song ends. I just keep on chuggin along and before i know it i look down and ive been on the treadmill 30-45 minutes and dont feel in the least like im worn out or ready to switch.

LMAO I can't believe I'm going to tell you but.... I like to listen to older 80s stuff when I walk.
I have:
Madonna: the Madonna album (her first)
George Michael: Faith album
A compilation of 80-90s tunes (all punky stuff)
The Indigo Girls
Oh, and Bronson Arroyo's album (he used to pitch for the Red Sox)
Okay, you may laugh now. lol

I listen to crazy stuff
I do some of the "tunes of my youth" too. I also find that reggae music works well - so "bouncy". So I have some UB 40, Matis Yahu (sp) but I also do some Dave Matthews, U2, just depends upon what part of the workout I'm doing - you know? I even have some Rolling Stones on there, which always seems to help going up a hill. But maybe that is because those guys are over the hill - some sort of inspiration. There is just so much on my IPOD and this is not even a start, but I skip around to find what I'm in the mood for.
I don't think that helped much, but I guess what I'm saying is, go ahead and put some crazy stuff on there. I found I loved moving to music I wouldn't necessarily sit down and listen to.
And I love books on tape, but not while I'm deflating my fat cells.
I also recommend a heart monitor - I love mine.

I listen to pretty much everything, but I have to say that when I work out I tend to listen to all Eminem. He has a great beat and his attitude tends to get me riled up and I keep on going. Really weird, right? I also tend to listen to books on tape. They keep my interest too.

Mine is a jumble mix of songs. several songs by most of these artists:
(This is my biking mp3 player, I have a different one for walking which largely consists of radio dramas)
Old 97's
They Might Be Giants
Social Distortion
Redd Kross
The Flaming Lips
John Denver
Joan Jett
Foo Fighters
David Bowie
Queen
I know there is more on there but it's been so hot I haven't been riding lately. I've either been walking (listening to my radio dramas) or working out on the machine at home (which involves watching Magnum P.I. dvds)

Ok...So basically I am the the only METAL HEAD? Oh MY... LOL!! I will admit to doing the whole - I LOVE THE 80's - bit too...Come on...we had awesome music back in the day....hehehe
I tried books on tape, but it made me wanna curl up with Co-co and snuggle something. Not exactly what I needed to get my fat arse moving!
Eminem...hummm...I have some of his stuff...I should add a couple of his more 'upbeat' ones to my line up.. Thanks for that one!
Seriously...NO Rockers out there??? COME ON....I know I am not the only 80's Metal Head alive...LOL!! Hello...Camero Heads...time to come out of the closet!! hehehe
