White Stripes and Redd Kross are, to my knowledge, both broken up bands. I wouldn't consider the White Stripes to be particularly metal, more sort of garage band pop sort of music. Not pop=top 40, but pop=peppy. Sort of bubbly. Like soda pop It's not genre specific music. A lot of their music almost has a heavy blues influence.

Redd Kross... Tell ya what, send me a PM and I'll send you a mix cd of the two bands.

Ron, I'm a country girl. I love country music and that's my main genre. Lately though, I've felt the need to scream and listen to stuff that's loud and helps me get out some of my agression. And you're not much older then I am.

Default Born into Disco!!

Call me a geek, but I was born in the 70's and had to watch my Mom dance around to Saturday Night Fever 8-tracks and listen to the Bee-Gee's..LOL. It grew on me. To this day, I listen to Disco nights remix on the radio. I like all of the new stuff that my kids and I listen to, but revert back to Disco at times. I am a huge Bob Marley and UB40 fan. We have such a variety all the way to Mexican Banda music. I know, I know TMI.

No ipod or Mp3 for me..not yet. My kids will have one before I ever get one...their grandparents spoil them at X-mas
