Talking My WLS Journey Has Begun

Hi All!

I saw my Dr. today, and she is submitting the referal paperwork for wls this week. She made copies of my weight watchers attendence card and pulling the rest of the documentation together. She asked what my ultimate goal is, and I told her 150. She said that seems overly optimistic, but didn't say what is - yet.

It's taken what seems like a hell of a long time to get to this point, I'm just glad the process has finally begun!

I feel like a kid on Christmas Day! I'm sooo walking on air! I know I still have "hoops" to jump through with the psych. exam, cardio and all that, I'm just so releived to be at this stage - FINALLY!

Thanks all, I couldn't have made it this far without each and every one of you!

Wow Baron it is about time. You have been through the ringer and you deserve to be on the losing side with the rest of us losers. I am proud of you for hangin in there even when the light at the end didn't seem so bright. Your a fighter and hopefully before this year is up you will be a stapler. I know there is good news awaiting you.

Congratulations! I had a hard time getting the initial consult referral from my primary Dr too. She made me jump through the hoops you're familiar with. Though I have to say, she did take care of many of the situations that would have held me up once I'd started with the surgeon. I'm so happy for you, I know this has been a long time coming!!!
