The DS does have a sleeved stomach, but the sleeve can be made different sizes depending on the patient and the surgeon.

Sorry for all the questions! (I'm heading to a DS myself, so I'm pretty familiar with what is expected.)
I actually did a ton of research before I decided on my vitiman reigimen.I am doing the fish-zole because as of right now my poopoo is often and smelly.I got it from my doc.I am so excited to have another ds person to talk to.Yes my stomach is sleeved 50cc's.I can eat about 3 ounces of food at a time.I just eat a large variety thats why it seems so much.So jilly where are you in your pre op process?

I'm only about to start month 3 of my 6-month medically supervised diet for insurance. I have my initial consultation with my surgeon on October 27 (went to the required info session in early August, and this was the first consult appointment they had available with my desired surgeon!). I have met up with some local DSers for lunch and have started attending a WLS support group. I have a binder of information I've collected (copies of studies and articles, WLS procedure comparison charts, recommended vitamin schedules, my insurance requirements, etc.). I have months of waiting still, so I am keeping myself busy! I'm looking at surgery probably around May or June of 2009, assuming my insurance approves me on my first submittal.
