Default Fresh Fruit - what to try, what to avoid?

Hi Everyone,

The markets are filled with delectable fresh fruits. I long to try some, but I'm afraid of dumping. Please advise me - which fresh fruit do you eat safely? Which ones cause you problems?

Honestly Dixie I never really tried any fruits my first couple of weeks out. But when I did I ate Bananas and green grapes. My favorite right now would have to be without any question would be cantaloupe. When you first try them, try them at home on your day off and eat it real slow.

Thank goodness I have been able to eat fresh fruit of any kind. Early on I had to be careful with the skins of grapes. Good luck with it......and try it at home first.

So far I've done pineapple, strawberries, bananas, watermelon, grapes and apples. All of them have gone well except the apples. The apples seem to give me a really bad gut ache, even without the skins. I've done really well with bananas but know of those who do dump on them.

I love me some bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe, and strawberries. I am afraid (yet) to try citrussy (if that is a word) fruits - I wasn't a fan before surgery, and am not sure of how I will react now (but I have been craving pineanpple). Yummy - I am getting hungry

With citrus and pineapple I have to kind of chew good and get rid of the little membranes. I won't risk swallowing them. So, it's a little rough trying to eat them anywhere but home.
