I eat it almost daily!!!!!! I can eat popcorn at times when my pouch will tolerate nothing else. I think my house has a permanent popcorn smell to it now.

I think the words were "you should never eat popcorn again" Our MD puts the terrible "P's" on the off limits list. Popcorn, peanuts, pretzels, potato chips, etc... They are foods you could tollerate, but you could graze on them all day and your pouch would accept them willingly and that is how the weight slows down or comes back. So if moderation is one of your skills, enjoy. Otherwise, be careful if it is one of your trigger foods.

Of course, within reason. I can eat about 2 cups at a time, then, my pouch says, "no more"....
I have my favorite snack about 2-3 times a week, my hubby makes it... he's an awesome popcorn maker...

I eat it almost every day, too. Since about the same day as Sandi...LOL It is a good source of fiber. Sometimes, it actually settles my stomach.

I have had it three or four times in the last 5 months - it was never a huge snack choice for me but it sure is nice to be able to sit in the movies and munch on something, when I am REALLY wanting a big ole pretzel or milk duds.

I like it, but I find I am letting myself indulge at the movies, where the butter is really gross and bad for us.

I am working on moderation in all areas and if I can not control it or make good choices than I will eliminate a food. So far that has been enough to keep me check!

Good Luck!

I went to the movies on Sunday night with my family and everyone was munching on the sweet stuff. I felt a little left out and it had been 3 hours since I last ate, so my husband went and got me a kid size popcorn. It was my first time trying it and it went down fine. I think having a little when I go to the movies is fine, especially since I only go 4 times a year if I am lucky!

You know, it's just different for every person. I go to the movies too often to allow it every time. I started taking better snacks in for myself. The problems lies in the fact that my clothes are not as huge and bulky......now I have to take a bigger purse or lay it under a jacket draped over my arm! However, I do boldly carry in a big sippy thing. If questioned I plan to whip out the bariatric card and tell them it's liquids I require (ok, stretching a little) and they do not sell what I drink (true, because pop is no-no and water plain water hurts Joey). Noone has ever said anything.

I, too, can eat popcorn, but rarely do. My weakness is chips and peanut butter crackers. I eat them because "real" meals sometimes don't do so well. I know that the chips are a no-no, so I'm back to visiting this site to get some inspiration and a virtual kick in the butt. I'm 2 yrs. & 2 months post-op and find that the pouch is still working great. Some days it feels as if I can eat a cow, and some days I just graze.

P.S. Sandi---it's GREAT to see you again!
