Lightbulb Shake Shake Shake...Shake your protein

I bought something that I love that was recommended to me by a friend who is a personal trainer at a gym up here. He majored in something like sports medicine or nutrition (or something like that). He did his thesis on WLS so he's been cool to talk with. He took me to GNC and showed me this protein powder (it's a little $$ and tastes great but am not sure if it's going to be ok post op). It's called Amplify XL Protein Blend (Double Chocolate Explosion).

Although the serving size says 16oz of water/2 scoops of powder he's had a few WLS clients that are in his gym using this two ways. Each person has their preferences. Some are doing two scoops mixed with 8oz of water as a breakfast (or whatever) meal. Others are doing one scoop with 8oz water twice a day (two meals). I tried it and it’s a little thick with the two scoops and 8oz, but doable. I'd prob. cut it in half and do 1 scoop to 8oz water and make it two meals over the day.

Each scoop has 22.5 g protein, 132 calories and 3.3 carbs. I bought a big jug of it. GNC let me try it (sample and gave me a full size mixer/shaker bottle free before I even committed to buy. I like the chocolate shaken in my shaker with ice-cold water. It's like chocolate milk with little chocolate chips in it. Reminds me of the Startbucks brownie frap. The greatest this is....GNC has a 30-day money back offer. If you use the product and don't like it, you can return it for your money back (with receipt) by the 30-days. Seems like a win - win. Any pre or post-opers tried this?
