Hi Meaghan~
My doctors office has one once a month as well. I was not impressed with the group from my doctors clinic (UCI Orange) and didnt make any good contacts. When I found this online group I figured it would just stay online. Now that I have been to one of their meetings, I will definately be coming back!! This groups got energy!! Maybe we could go together sometime. Now that I know how to get there (well sort of........with Rain's help!) I might make it back more often. This group also has meetings at their homes, as well as at the clinic. I havent been to a home meeting yet, but after seeing Rains home, I volunteer Rains house for the next one!!
Keep me posted if you are interested. It will be good to get to know someone from my neck of the woods anyway!

Carol,

Thanks for your reply. I'd love to go sometime... I wasn't sure if I could go, due to the fact I'm not a patient of Dr. Callery or Dr. Potts. This group is great and there is nothing more I'd rather do than meet them all in person. At this point I need all the encouragement/support I can get ~ I am counting the minutes till my surgery and it's just not coming fast enough!

Default LMAO Dara!!!!!!

Dara you are too funny.. Cheese is my #1 staple nowadays.. so if there is an article.. I don't want to see it!!! Truly I do not!!! Banana's don't even interest me anymore.. go figure.. I loved them before surgery.. ?? Anyway if you think about it.. you could do a lot worse.. so I think you have nothing to worry about..

Oh and thanks for making me spit iced tea out of my nose.. that was interesting..

I'm on a apple and peanut butter kick for snacking.. if and when I allow myself to do so. I have to be careful because that is a trigger for me.. if I allow myself one snack.. what stops me from 2 or 3 or 10? So I try not to even go there once a day .. but sometimes I must.. because I wait and have a late dinner due to mine and Stuart's schedules..

Girlfriend:

I'm so glad I was able to help you clean out your sinuses this morning...after all, it IS allergy and sinus season!

Seriously, I think I eat the bananas to satisfy my need for sweets. Like I said, better a banana than an Oreo cookie! The mozzarella sticks are supposed to be pretty healthy snacks...although I've read otherwise on posts here. I just need to cut down!

Thanks for listening to my whining. Let me know if I can help you clean out anything else! LOL

Thumbs up I never thought the day would come!

I am pleased to say that my desire for soda as no longer. I have gone over a month without finishing a pepsie or anything else and It just don't tate good anymore. When I go out to eat I drink water, lite lemonade or tea.... and I am finding that I am very satisfied.

It is not only coming, it is HERE! I just wanted to say that the support group at doctor Callery's office is a support group, you qualify, and are welcome. I would love to meet you in person.

I think this is a great thread, and I love to bring it up. I tried to say this in one of the group meetings, but it didn't come out right. But I comprehend that most of the people that gained their weight back drink soda.

I have enough trouble with food not to bring soda back into my equasion.

Hugs,

Traci
