Default Can somebody please show me a good example of what the soft diet foods are?

Good Wednesday Evening All- when I left the hospital they gave me very limited information on the soft diet. Does anybody have a good example of the soft foods diet.
Many thanks,
xoxoxoxo

Hi! Sure!!!! I am not post op yet; however, my doctor gave me some suggestions and I am planning on buying them this weekend.

first couple of weeks:
Cream of Wheat, Cream of rice
Sugar free pudding, jello
Unsweetened applesauce

Then 2weeks out
Protein: fish, cheeses, tofu, deli meat thin slices, finely ground beef, cottage cheese, tuna, egg
Fruits: canned but drained and rinsed, ripe and peeled peaches, pear, banana
Veggies: all well cooked except celery, corn and beans
Starch: potatoes without skin, crackers, well-toasted bread.
I am sure there are veterans that can give you more, but i hope this helps. Good Luck
