Default Vitamin Question

How often must one take vitamins a day to make sure that he/she will retain the daily requirements? In leu of the WLS; I can figure that one vitamin won't suffice. So how many will?

You actually have to take a series of vitamins.
An Iron pill, a B complex, calcium, a multi-vitamin, a vitamin E and a sub lingual B12. The B12 is once a week, the rest are daily. These are my surgeon's instructions, you surgeon my be a bit different. Always follow your surgeon's/nutritionist's instructions!

Vitamin regimins vary among patients/docs. Currently my labs are perfect and all vitamin levels are eother high or normal, so i only take my RX's, Iron and a Flintstone multi daily. I have calcium waiting in the wings but haven't been asked to start taking it yet (I am only 6 1/2 weeks out).

I'm 2 1/2 months out and at this time I only take a prescription pre-natal vitamin once a day. I'll be getting my labs checked next week so that may change things. I do know that Calcium will be added at my 3 month check-up. It does really vary per doctor.

Default RE: Vitamins

Dear Kitty,

We use Ultra Mega from GNC. 1 per day is the dosage and we never had a problem with vitamin levels! Cost $30.00 but you get a 6 month supply!

Good Luck,
