I had been eating cheese and crackers from about 4 weeks or so. You should be fine, but just go slow and see how you respond! Enjoy! Same with the peanut butter....that was a great source of protein for me early on.

peanut butter is a total comfort food for me! I mentally craved it alot at first, but once I ate it and it sat like a ton of bricks in my lil pouch it cured me! Now I eat it sparingly.

Having said that tho, I did lick a spoonful now and again at yer stage as long as it was creamy!

I did 2 crackers and cheese at 2 weeks out. Chew well and it went down fine. I can't handle the cheese string...it feels like eating rubber so I use the regular cheddar cheese.

cheese and peanut butter are 2 of my favorite snacks!! I got some low fat crackers to go with them, especiall the peanut butter.

I can't stand string cheese anymore either... i have tried several brands and they all taste nasty to me now, i used to love them.
