Thumbs up intro to veggies

I'm 2 1/2 post op and according to Doc I'm doing real well. I am starting on real foods, but of course have to chew chew etc. If nothing else my jaw is getting a workout. Has anyone had trouble with intrducing veg. like cucubers, beets corn and so on. So far the only one I've tried is beans doing well with those. I haven't had any of the nuasia or throwing up and I'd like to keep it going.
Also on some of the foods I've looked at almost everything has some kind of sugar in them you can't get away from it. Is it still ok to eat some of these things is they have less than say 5gms of sugar. Has anyone had trouble eating sugar in this small amout? Thanks for any advise you can give.

My doctor does not allow veggies until 6 weeks. They then have to have the skin removed and nothing with a husk like corn. Right now you eat so little that it should be all protein. Beans and lentils are fine right now.

i have had no trouble with raw broccolli, califlower, carrots, slice of apple grapes, and some salad too....as for sugar i am sad to say no sugar has bothered me either - and i have had a single pc of sees candy last week i went in to buy it for my husbands work and i ate the sample - it did nothing but i wont be pushing to try that to often...
good luck try a little at home in case it does bother you
