Default ice cream question

So I really want to use frozen yogurt in a protien shake. But I can't seem to find any that I can buy and take home.

But I did see low carb ice cream made with splenda.

Does anyone know about this ice cream? I would really like to try it, but have not had any dumping problems yet and want to try and keep from doing so.

TCBY makes a no sugar added frozen yogurt. If you have one in your area, you may be able to get some there. I've seen tons of no sugar added and carb conscious ice creams. The trick is finding one with just the right amount of sugar in it. Since milk has a type of sugar, there will almost always be natural sugars. Find the right amount in grams for you and you should be fine. The thing is to try it when you're home and not planning on going anywhere. You won't know until you try it.

I found some ice cream made by I believe it is Edys and it is a no sugar added but it does have splenda in it and of course the natural sugars. I haven't been brave enought to try it though...

I have tried the no sugar added and lo carb ice creams. What I found for ME is that ice creAM IS A TRIGGER FOOD. I used to eat a big bowl every night watching TV. When I started eating ice cream after surgery I found I was eating more and more and more. One night I ate an entire quart or half a container....Freaked me out until I realized that it was a trigger for my over eating before and very likely would be again if I let it. Try it but be careful and realize what it is you are doing. I have it occasionally like once in 6 months now.

I tried the ice cream with the splenda, I did make sure to measure it out I am a little sensitive to milk sugars and did not want to over do it and I was fine. It is all trial and error.

No sugar added ice cream make me sicker than a dog. I don't really know why. But for me I have to stick with no sugar added fudgecilces.

I tried the Sweet Cream sinless ice cream at Cold Stone and it was the only one I could tolerate in a small amount. I have never been a huge ice cream fan, so once in awhile for me does the trick. Like Bill says, watch out for the trigger foods....mine is cookies.
