Default Lunch at work

Question...

For those who work in an office setting, what do you guys/gals have for lunch?

Do you even have lunch at all?

Since I started back to work today, Breakfast is out the window since I go swim at 6am and hit work at 7.

Hey Gerry,
I too work in an office environment. I eat in everyday. I eat different combinations (protein first!) of beef jerky, thin slice of lunch meat, cottage cheese, string cheese, steamed veggies, yogurt and fresh fruits. Usually a tiny portion of 2 or 3 of them. I get full at about 8 bites, depending on what I have. I've learned quickly when "that next bite" is going to be the one that makes me feel lousy. It's ain't worth it!! I have a feeling my Outback dinner will last a few days. I can't wait til the meeting tomorrow night.

Default Hey Gerry

Gerry,

I love the "Lunch On The Go" Starkist Tuna Lunches. They are "too much to handle" and delicious. Try it.

At our office, we dine out a lot. Sometimes I just get an extra plate and share with the others. Other times, I just order an appetizer or soup. I generally will ask if I can have served a half portion, even if it still means paying full price. I even go out to all-you-can-eat buffets! I generally choose chicken or fish for entrees. Every once in a while when it gets real busy, I may just have half a protein bar and that's lunch for the day. When cash is low, the $1 chili at Burger King or Wendy's makes 2 meals for me.

I bring tiny little tupperware things to heat in the microwave. Refried Beans and ranch stlye beans are my best freind, so I bring those with a couple tortilla chips. Chili beans are now my worst enemy....they make me soooo ill!I bring some chopped up watermelon, yogurt, turkey slices and cheese and other various fruits. I also bring a lot to drink and try to keep sipping.
I sometimes go back to a creamed soup if I am nauseous and that helps.

Hope this will help you a little bit..

Gerry,

Breakfast is SUCH an important meal...don't forget about it!!! Even if you can make a shake and drink it while heading to the pool or to work. Or munch a protein bar...something like that!

I was swimming after the first week when I was able to freely move about with minimal discomfort. Swimming is encouraged as it is very low impact and works all the major muscle groups.

Default Swimming

I thought they didn't want us to start swimming until 2 weeks after our surgery. Kelly told me that the swimming could cause a bacteria of some sort around our incision area??? I'm confused.
