Question Can or when can we have Oatmeal?

I was just wondering if we can have oatmeal? It is a soft food. I found this Weight Smart Oatmeal and I think the numbers are good. It has a good amout of protein, but I wasn't sure if there were to many carbs

Banana Bread Oatmeal

3g Fat
260g Sodium
0mg Colesterol
150mg Potassium
29g Carbs
1g Sugar
7g Protien
6g Fiber

Thanks

I am allowed to have oatmeal (pureed, as to be baby food consistency) beginning on day 15.

However, I would watch out on that one -- too many carbs may = dump. I've yet to dump, so I don't know.

I am 12 weeks out and have eaten that oatmeal about 4 days a week, I do not dump on it at all, but some might. The oatmeal seems to sit better on my stomach than eggs do right now.

I am 14 days out and have been eating oatmeal for about 3 days, I even add my protein mix to it. I got it at Henry's market brand is OLD WESSEX Ltd.
Instant Oatmeal its 100% Natural Whole Grain Instant Oats, No Salt and No Sugar. It goods down smooth and no dumping.

I just bought that oatmeal on Friday and I had it today for bf, YUMMY! It is really good! Make it with milk, if you aren't lactose intolerant.

My doctor said no oatmeal until 3 weeks out, because he has had patients that had it earlier and it plugged their stoma. So be really careful.

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

Oatmeal is soft food and good fiber too. Try a few bites and see how it suits you.

I enjoy it occasionally. I make it homemade with splenda and vanila soy milk.

Oatmeal is an excellent food to eat. I would have some and see how you tolerate it. Every day I eat it. great fibre and made with soymilk or milk if you are not lactose intolerant is an excellent source of protein as well. 1/2 cup dry has 5 grams of protein in it, made with 1 cup of soymilk adds another 7 grams of protein for a total of 12 grams. Make it a little more liquid in consistency early on and it will go down the pouch really well. Also, Kelly at Dr C's office says to use the regular oats, not the instant. My nutritionist also said the same thing, too much good stuff is taken out of the instant or quick cook stuff.
