Default The Right kind of Protein?

Hello to anyone who is clued up on the correct types of proteins out there on the market.

I've already been advised that the Pro-Shots are not the right type of protein to buy for our purposes. I'm not bright enought to outline the why's and therefore's, but I know there are those that can. I wont put the pressure on and name who, just in case.

However I came across the following today and wondered if this was any different and a better choice - so any help would be appreciated.

IDS Sports New-Whey Liquid Protein, 25 g Protein (2.9 oz. vial)

Sorry, but no. The reason these protein shots are not a good choice is because they are made mostly of collagen protein. It's an incomplete protein, meaning it does not have all the amino acids we need. And that's why we need protein, for the amino acids. So it's kinda pointless to take one that doesn't have them all. Also, it's just not absorbed well. So while there may be 25 grams of protein in that little vile, you're not gonna absorb 25 grams of it. You will absorb very little.

Some brands do throw a little whey isolate in there, which is the kind of protein we need. However, they don't have much whey isolate, and they don't tell us how much, so we have no way of knowing how much protein we're really getting. We just know it won't be much.

I think the New Whey ones are all collagen, though, no whey at all. The name is deceving. I'm guessing they did that on purpose to try to fool people.
