Try turning the oven down to about 375 hun. Ovens are all so different depending on gas or electric. Mine seems to work best on 375 in this house but it's electric, in our other house it was 400 but it was gas. Who knows. Also was the rack in the middle of the oven?

You may want to try for about 40 mins at 375 and just keep an eye on them. Ovens can be so wonky! The key to seasoning them is to toss them in the olive oil in the zip lock bag and then put the seasoning in another zip lock bag and toss them in that. You want to kind of over season them since alot of the seasoning will fall off when you cook them.

Hope that helps guys.

Something else that might help is using oil instead of butter.

Me too, and I think my 4 yr old grandson will love them - he's nuts over chickpeas and loves spicy things so this hits two point for him! Thanks for the great recipes and instructions!!!
