Default water after protein drink

Do you have to wait to drink any water after drinking a protein drink? I didn't know if the same rule applies.

As far as I know, a protein drink is liquid, so you can go on to drink water or something else right away if you want.

Thanks Kelly! I think I finally found a protein drink that I can tolerate. It is chike chocolate.

Personally, I would wait.

The reason not to drink is so that you stay full longer, without getting hungry as soon. As it is, the shakes will pass through your system faster than more dense food, adding water will only make it go through even faster, making you hungry that much sooner.

I like Chike a lot. Although I'm not big on chocolate shakes in general.

Kel makes a good point. I stand corrected.

I normally have a small drink or two after a shake, just to kind of wash my mouth out. Then it's normally about 30 minutes before I start drinking again.

I've been on the fence with this question, too, so I opted to take the safest route and try to avoid drinking. That got hard quickly with aftertastes sometimes. I found that just one or two sips of my crystal light post-shake makes it easier.

My way may not be right, but so far it's working for me.
