Default A cooking fool??

I don't know if it is the changing of the seasons or a new manifestation of a fatty's love affair with food, but lately I have been consumed with thoughts of cooking and baking. I have been researching recipes, making grocery lists, etc. I am trying to curb it because I am not even 4 months out so I can't and/or shouldn't be eating some of the things I am thinking about and my kids don't need it either. I even stopped watching Top Chef and the Food Network thinking it was not healthy mentally to keep thinking about it.

Anyone else go through something like this??

Since my surgery, I have decided I really like to cook. I never liked it much before surgery. But I only cook stuff that is good for me to eat. I have a lot of fun changing recipes around so that they are good for me. I haven't done any baking because I shouldn't be eating most of the stuff I would bake. Although at some point I want to make some chocolate chip cookies using Splenda because Mike likes them.

Interesting post...because we're coming into the one of the seasons I love. I bake for everyone for the holidays--I wonder if I'll still have that desire.

It is okay to love to cook. We just have to cook healthily. Eat, too.

While home recuperating from my surgery I became completely addicted to the food network. I LOVE cooking shows even now, 20 + months later, watch them all the time.

And now I cook all the damn time now and love it. It is fun looking for new recipes and ways to change it over to be acceptable for both me, and my diabetic hubby
