Default Celebrate has grape multivitamins now

I got an email this evening from Celebrate announcing that they now have grape flavored chewable multivitamins, if anyone is interested.

I wonder if they are ever going to come out with a new flavor of the ENS? I would like a change from grape once in a while.

Mmmm grape. I love grape. Wish we had grape flavored stuff here. Even tho I had the sleeve and can absorb vitamins fine, they still want me to take 3 regular multis. I think I'd rather have 1 or 2 grape celebrate chewables and have more room in my tummy for nutrition.

I have tried their grape iron, and it was yummy. So the grape multi is probably pretty good, too.

I emailed them and asked if there are any plans to offer ENS in any other flavors besides grape. 'Cause I think the grape is pretty good, really it tastes just like grape Koolaid, but I am kinda tired of it by now. I mean, I do it twice a day every day. Some variety would be nice. I think a lemonade flavor would be good.

I ordered my vitamins last week to have ready for post-op. I ordered the ENS for the first couple of weeks after surgery, and then going to the chewables for multivitamin, iron, calcium chewables, calcium creamy bites, and for my hair/health omega-3 and B12. I'm trying the omega-3 from Celebrate because I have not been able to find an omega that I can't detect fish (is it in my head?!).

Has anyone considered Puritan's pride for vitamins? I made myself dizzy trying to find the things I needed because they have so many choices--just seemed to be off on dosages. My friend swears by this company, and says that they have huge sales always, i.e. buy 2 get 2/buy 3 get 3 sales. I believe after I get situated after a few months this may be a good place to get biotins and stuff.

Puritan's Pride

I looked at their multis, and saw one that looked OK but not as good as Celebrate. It fell short on biotin and a couple other things. But if you want to get B12 or calcium citrate or iron or whatever from that, I think that should be fine.

I emailed Celebrate to ask if they had any plans to offer ENS in another flavor, and Vic wrote back and said they will be releasing a new flavor soon. Yay! He didn't tell me what the flavor is, though, and now I want to know.

Vic was actually at our area Walk from Obesity today. He didn't mention anything about the ENS but I also didn't ask. I do know that the Chocolate fudge chewy is coming out soon and they are also presently discussing a 3rd flavor. He says that the whole team hasn't agreed upon the flavor yet. I taste tested the lemon ones today and oh myyyyy, those are really good!! I got a box of samples from Vic for my support group and I think they will Love them!!

A BA rep was also there and I taste tested several of their products and personally I think the BA chews really fall short. I did taste test a chewy form of Omega-3's though, and they weren't bad at all.

Yep, a very nice guy, nice voice and not too shabby lookin' either!

BTW ladies, Vic does stick his nose in TT periodically. He mentioned to me today that one of the things he really appreciates about TT is all the education you ladies do in regards to the importance of taking a good quality bariatric vitamin vs flintstones. So certainly kudos to both you ladies!! He's noticed and appreciates it.

Sorry - not meaning to hijack but as Beth mentioned BA's Omega-3 chews, I thought I'd just add that they contain just 160mg omega-3 fatty acids!

Although there is no RDA for this stuff, using the recommendation that we eat 2 servings of oil rich fish a week (salmon etc)., you'd need to around 800mg of EPA/DHA supplements daily to meet that.

If you're trying to reduce triglycerides then you'll need around 1200mg EPA/DHA a day.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that 160mg is a drop in the ocean.

I'm fine with capsules but for those early post-op who can't take caps but are looking at EPA/DHA supplements, I can recommend Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil Supplements. They're sachets you just squeeze into your mouth: coromega omega 3 - Vitacost
