Chicken Sausages from Sam's Club
I loved sausage pre op but all the fat post op makes it a no no for me. Until I found these. I have to peel the casings off since my pissy ass pouch does not like them. But 3/4 of one is a perfect meal for me.
So far the flavors I have tried are Spinach and Asiago cheese, and the Roasted Garlic and Mozzarella one. Both are amazing!!
110 cals, 4.5g fat, 0 trans fat, 1 carb and 15g protein.
They are $11.97 for 3 packs of 5 and freeze really well. I love, love these things. Sooo good!

I like those too! I have a package of them in the fridge right now...the poblano pepper flavor. The mozzarella ones are my favorite though.

Aren't they awesome? I did not think I would be able to find healthy sausage that I liked again but these really hit the spot.
You are much further out than I am, but do the casings give you any trouble Sherry?

Nope, the casings don't bother me...but then again, not much does. My pouch is made of cast iron I think.

Lucky you lol. I have pissy pouch from hell who likes something one day and the next day not so much. Unless it's greek yogurt, it always purrs for that.

You're still pretty early out, so don't get discouraged. However, in some ways it might be better to have a pissy pouch. I can eat nearly anything without getting sick, so I have to really apply my willpower sometimes.

Yeah, I really like these too. I stir-fry these up with some vegetables and they are really good. I'm not a huge sausage eater but when I'm craving them these really hit the spot.
Thanks for sharing your find.

Sam's Sausages
Wow! These sausages sound great! I don't have a sam's club card but my mom does and i'll be going to get me some! My surgery is Thurs...the 8th!
I'm on the atkins induction for these two weeks and they should be okay for me! Will be nice to have something different! Thanks for the advice!
